A month ago, Vivo revealed a in-display fingerprint scanner. Now Vivo is taking it to a next level with “Half-Screen In-Display Fingerprint Scanning Technology.”
Vivo recently launched Vivo Apex with massive 98 percent
screen-to-body ratio and no more bulky screen bezels, awkward rear-mounted
sensors, or complex arrays of face-detection tech. The advancement in this
phone is that, instead of placing your finger on a thumbnail-sized icon to
unlock the phone, you’ll be able to do so in a much larger area of the display.
There is a Quirky, fun pop-up 8 mega pixel selfie camera in
the Vivo Apex. Selfie camera of Vivo Apex is hidden behind the screen and pops
up like a periscope when needed. It takes 0.8 seconds to ready itself and makes
a little whirring sound.

There is no news of price or release date of Vivo Apex yet. Though, , Vivo is reported to have shared an invite with Chinese media for an announcement on March 5, and it appears to be directly related to the APEX smartphone.
