To make this app standout in this high competition in digital market they had to create a new messaging app with a different type of messaging techniques.
Hence, Yahoo have launched their new messaging app with a new idea in mind; A messaging app that makes your create groups and invite through the link to your family or friends.

The different technique Yahoo used in Squirrel is a Invite-Only Groups. In easy words, You will be able to create groups and you can generate a link whoever uses the link can join the group. Rather than using mobile phones, You will have to create a Yahoo Account and you will get messages only from your groups.
Yahoo Squirrel might be a good thing for people who wanted limited people for chating. But on the other hand, Whatsapp & Facebook Messenger have conquered the Messaging genre in mobile devices. Even tech-giant Google failed with Google Allo. Though, the new updated version of Android Chat looks promising with new advanced features in SMS messaging.
