- Nokia 5.1 Plus Leaks & Rumors
- HMD Global Wrong Decisions
- Nokia fans disappointed
Today we saw another leak of Nokia's upcoming budget phone that will feature a notch design and is going to be known as "Nokia 5.1 Plus". It is not so long ago, Nokia 5.1
was just revealed a month back.
According to these leaks, Nokia 5.1 Plus comes with an unspecified octa-core chip clocked at 2.0GHz.
The chipset can be the MediaTek Helio P18 included inside the regular Nokia 5.1 or another better chipset by Mediatek.
The chipset will be coupled with either 3GB, 4GB, or 6GB of RAM. Additionally, the choice of 32GB or 64GB of internal storage will be offered, although this will further be expandable
via a microSD card of up to 128GB.
The Nokia 5.1 Plus comes with Stock Android running on Android 8.1 Oreo and a 3,000 maH of the battery.
The Nokia 5.1 Plus comes with a massive 5.86-inches with a 19:9 aspect ratio, coupled with a trending notch design. This might just make some fans angry, and of course
with this device Nokia 5.1 Plus, Nokia looks like they just want to capture the market like what Oppo & Vivo does.
In the camera department, Nokia 5.1 Plus comes with an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter and a dual -rear facing camera with 13 megapixels of the primary lens.
Now here are the specifications of Nokia 5.1, do you see some major differences? Just another camera on the back and 30mah of an additional battery and a big notch?
So now let's move to the question:
Is Nokia doing it all wrong?
Well yes, It's not much long ago .1 series is launched by Nokia. And also an "X" series is coming up soon, which is already released in China and is waiting for a global
appearance. If they really wanted an updated version of Nokia 5.1 then why not Nokia X6? In my opinion, this is just a marketing strategy by Nokia and is, of course, a
bad move for the consumer.
Coming to my final verdict, A consumer would be confused by dozens of smartphones launched by the same company and a minor price difference.
Nokia should just stop by launching "Just to market" smartphones or we got other companies doing the same.
