Samsung can be called the "King Of Android Mobile Manufacturer". Samsung Galaxy S and Note series was always a class in the Android world. But what about the budget devices?
There are 2 Samsung budget series called "J" and "A". Samsung recently launched Galaxy J4 & Galaxy J6. Samsung Galaxy J4 costs about $160 and comes with an Exynos 7570 which is a year old processor. 2GB and 16 of storage make it a potato device. No fingerprint scanner is added either.
On the other hand, Galaxy J6 comes with $220 price tag and comes with the Exynos 7870 which goes against the SD 625 SoC which is a 2 year old processor included inside $150 mobiles. No dual rear cameras are present on the Galaxy J6.
Talking about $220 price range you can get a much better processor , decent back & rear cameras, & of course all basic sensors which are not included inside Samsung budget devices as they are the part of only premium devices.

Here is why you shouldn't buy a Samsung device as you're paying for the brand but not for quality and specifications for the handset. You can get a much better device at the same rate. In simple words, Samsung budget devices just don't provide a good price to performance ratio.
But you know what you will lose? The brand. You will pay for the Samsung logo. But not for the Chinese companies like Xiaomi, Huawei & More.
But then comes Nokia for those you want a branded mobile with decent specifications. The best thing about Nokia is that they never add Custom UI & comes with stock Android. Nokia sometimes just mess up with prices of devices like Nokia 3.1 that costs about $200 where I live and their own Nokia 6.1 went from $300 to $230 and comes with decent specifications.
And I bet Nokia will also cut down the price for the 3.1 sooner or later, Like who will want to pay them a $200 when one can get SD 630 which is a much better option than an old MediaTek processor included inside the Nokia 3.1.
Anyways, our topic for today was "Why One Shouldn't Buy A Samsung Budget Mobile" and it is a very good example of how Samsung went behind Chinese companies in India. If Samsung didn't improve their budget mobiles they will fail in all smartphone markets. Well, I think they should just stop with these midrange and budget devices and concentrate on their flagship series.
Do tell me in the comment section your thoughts on the Samsung budget lineup.
