Xiaomi Mi A2 & Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite In A Nut-Shell: All Things You Need To Know

Last year, Xiaomi came up with the Xiaomi Mi A1 which was different from other Mi phones. The difference lies in the software department as the Xiaomi Mi A1 came up with Android One Programme meaning Xiaomi Mi A1 came with stock Android and not Xiaomi's own custom UI called MIUI. And many fans liked it. Xiaomi is very popular with providing good price to performance ratio and hence also offering Stock Android makes the fans hyped up.

See yourself, Xiaomi posted a poll on Twitter regarding whether the fans liked MIUI or Stock Android. And results were in a favor of Stock Android, and that made Xiaomi delete their poll.

It's been a year and the fans for Mi A series are waiting for Mi A2 launch, as Xiaomi Mi 6X is already released in China months ago. The Xiaomi Mi A series are re-branded mobiles from the "X" series launched in China meaning last year Xiaomi released Mi 5X in China that was the same phone with Android One Programme instead of MIUI and rebranded as Mi A1 for a global launch. And now its been months since Mi 6X was released so there was a doubt if Xiaomi will continue with the A series.

And this week was a delight for Xiaomi x Pure Android fans, Not one but two Android One Programme Xiaomi mobiles are coming named Xiaomi Mi A2 and Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite. The specifications and prices were already revealed by online retailer sites. The Xiaomi Mi A2 is alot similar from Mi 6X while the Mi A2 lite is similar to Xiaomi 6 Pro launched in China.

Now first let's take a look at Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Specifications, The Xiaomi Mi A2 comes with 5.84 Inch IPS LCD, with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of FHD+. The Mi A2 Lite is powered by Xiaomi's most loved processor called Snapdragon 625 SoC which is paired with up to 4GB Ram and up to 64 GB of storage. Talking about camera department, the Mi A2 lite rocks dual rear cameras of 12-megapixel and a 5 Megapixel secondary shooter. Mi A2 Lite features a 5-megapixel selfie shooter along with a 4000 MaH of a battery.

And yes if you read the specifications carefully, I mentioned a 19:9 aspect ratio as Mi A2 lite might feature a notch design. And the leaks verify that too.

Talking about Xiaomi Mi A2, as I told earlier in the article the Mi A series were always rebranded of X series and hence the Xiaomi 6X might be the Xiaomi A2 with a difference of software. If the above statement is true, then Xiaomi Mi A2 will come with a 5.99-Inch IPS LCD with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and FHD+ Display. The Xiaomi Mi A2 is powered up by Snapdragon 660 SoC which is based on 14Nm technology and has the ability to compete with Snapdragon 636 SoC used in the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. The Snapdragon 636 SoC used in the Redmi Note 5 has an Antutu score of  110000 while the SD 660 has an Antutu score of about 118000.

The Mi A2 is further equipped with up to 6GB Ram & up to 128GB of storage. Talking about the camera department the Mi A2 is equipped with 12 megapixel & a 20-megapixel shooter with f/1.8.
Xiaomi Mi A2 also won't disappoint the selfie lovers as the Xiaomi Mi A2 comes with a 20-megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.8. The Mi A2 has a battery of 3010 MaH.

The Mi A2 also features Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 & comes with a type C converter.

Looking at the specifications on sheet, The Mi A2 Lite & Mi A2 are pretty strong. Both can be compared to each other as well. The Mi A2 Lite comes with an additional 1000 MaH of battery and a 19:9 aspect ratio notch design, if you prefer the newest things. While the Mi A2 isn't a disappointment either. The Mi A2 comes with Snapdragon 660 SoC, which is more powerful than Snapdragon 636 used in Redmi Note 5.

Though, You might be disappointed that the Mi 6X doesn't come with a 3.5mm headphone jack and so might Mi A2. Though, Mi A1 was a popular device for the 3.5mm headphone jack audio quality.

Now let's talk about pricing and release date. Xiaomi has confirmed the launch event for Xiaomi Mi A2 and A2 Lite on July 24 in Spain. Hence, We will get more news on the launch date. And I hope so we will get to see Mi A2 and A2 late this month or next month.

According to Quickmobile.ro, The Xiaomi Mi A2 will be priced at $320 for 4GB/32GB & $352 for 4GB/64GB variants. And also the website claims that the devices will be available in 7 days.

On the other hand, Xiaomi Mi A2 lite is priced at $234 for 32GB Storage + 3GB Ram & $264 for 64GB + 4GB Ram.
