Xiaomi is the 4th largest mobile manufacturer as of Q2 2018. Whenever you want to buy a budget phone, One company will always be in your choice list and that would be Xiaomi.
5. IR Blaster / All necessary sensors
One of the best things I like about buying a Xiaomi device is that it comes with an IR blaster. For those who doesn't the working of an IR blaster, It allows
us to switch on and control electronics like a television, AC. And Xiaomi always uses an IR blaster on its smartphones which is very rare for manufacturers to include the IR blaster. wheater it's a 100$ or a high end the smartphone you will get to see an IR blaster from Xiaomi. First, I thought it would just be a marketing gimmick and had concerns if it might work or not. But when I purchased my Xiaomi phone, I was quite impressed. Now, I never waste time finding remotes for my electronics.
And I don't think many companies add the IR blaster even in their flagship phones so it's a good move from Xiaomi and I liked it.
4. MIUI Forums
Xiaomi phones come pre-installed with an application called MIUI forums and that's the number 4 pro of buying a xiaomi phone.
I thought it was just a useless bloatware but when I start using it, I enjoyed it. On Mi forums, you can discuss anything regarding your smartphones, issues
or bugs with smartphones and more. Also, there are weekly giveaways which I think is again a very good move from Xiaomi. This app is very essential for every mobile manufacturer as it keeps the consumers active. Now, whenever I am bored, I head to Xiaomi forums.
3. Software Experience
Here, comes the software experience. Before I bought a xiaomi Phone, I was confused about buying it as it comes with MIUI which is a custom ROM
and not like Pure Android. I thought my first application after buying a Xiaomi phone will be a custom launcher, but I started liking MIUI. Its simple yet
colorful and I don't think I would need a launcher. And I heard that the MIUI is heavy on RAM. But it wasn't the case. Though, I would suggest you
going with 3GB+ ram. Overall experience was quite good, and only useful applications were pre-installed. Also, the developers are very active, and you would get new MIUI version over the year.
2. Full-Screen Mode
As you know many companies have already ditched physical buttons and started using the touch buttons.
But Xiaomi comes with one more option which is called FUll-screen mode. Like on the Apple iPhone X, instead of touch buttons, gestures are used for
going back, multi-tasking and home. I got used to the gestures very quickly and I like it more than the buttons as they use extra space on the display
1. Good Price To Performance Ratio
Last but not least, Xiaomi provides a good price to performance ratio Though, they
need to improve their cameras. I think Redmi Note 5has some better cameras but I was not impressed with on the Xiaomi Redmi 5. Otherwise,
It provides a very good price to performance ratio. Xiaomi uses Qualcomm chipsets either in 400 or 600 series in its midrange segment which are
very fast. The battery is super good due to it. And overall the performance is excellent.
