Realme is now launched in Pakistan, first deputed in India as an sub-brand of Oppo and now Real Me is an independent company just like Oppo, Vivo comes under One Plus. Real Me was first launched by Oppo in India to give a tough competition to Xiaomi's Redmi lineup, as in 2017 and 2018 Redmi was the top budget smartphone brand, and hence the name Real Me sounds similar to Redmi.
Anyways, coming in 2019, Realme is now up and running in Pakistan and launched Real Me 3 it's latest budget smartphone that is priced very aggressively at RS. 23999 and no doubt is the best phone you can buy if your budget is under RS. 25000. Real Me have conquered the budget segment not only in Pakistan but other countries as well. Redmi's budget king is the Redmi 7 that is available for about Rs. 25000 but didn't performed well due to it's poor specifications compared to that of Real Me 3.
And now Realme have launched Real Me 3 Pro in Pakistan, that is an elder brother to Real Me Pro and come with better specifications. The Real Me 3 Pro is launched in a price point at which you can also buy Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 and Samsung A30 so let's see how is Real Me 3 Pro and will it be replaced by Redmi Note 7 as an mid-range king. Let's start with the specifications of the Real Me 3 Pro.
Realme 3 Pro Design
The design on the Real Me 3 is okay-ish, here I would choose Redmi Note 7's design instead of going for Real Me 3 Pro. No doubt, the device looks really nice but the back panel isn't glass, it is poly-carbonate with an "S" that comes when you tilt the device, most probably means "Speed" as Real Me 3 Pro no doubt is the performance beast in this price segment. There is an vertical dual-megapixel camera lineup on the left side, with an flash light on the last and an Chroma Boost used in primary sensor used to boost colors on the pictures. The rear side of the device is pretty neat, there's an fingerprint sensor in center and Real Me branding on the lower left side of the device.

On the other hand, the front of the device comes with an 6.3" display with tear drop notch having minimum bezels and even less bezels compared to Redmi Note 7. The front side of the device is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The device only weighs 172g, and is lighter than other phones in this price segment. The power button is on the right side alone while the two separate volume buttons are on the right side. And above the volume buttons there is an SD card and Sim Slot. This isn't an hybird and comes with space for 2 nano sims and one micro SD card.
But the disappointment comes under the smartphone, as Real Me decided to go with Micro SD port instead of USB- Type C, though according to them smartphones in the next gen will be using Type C ports. Fortunately, there is an 3.5 mm port headphone jack with the charging port and an single speaker with noise cancellation microphone.
There are three colors you can get Real Me 3 Pro in ,one is the most used Nitro Blue color and other two are the Carbon Gray and Lightning purple colors. I would say the blue is the most beautiful out of these 3.
Realme 3 Pro Camera
The camera segment on the Real Me 3 Pro is where Redmi's Note 7 might take an slight edge. As, the Real Me 3 Pro only comes with 16 MP Sony IMX519 f/1.7, the same sensor used on the Oneplus 6, it comes with dual sensor PDAF support and an 5 MP f/2.4 depth sensor. While the Note 7 features Samsung's 48MP sensor. Other features on the Real Me 3 Pro are Geo-tagging, phase detection, HDR, Panorama, can shoot video at 2160p@30fps, 1080p@30/120fps, 720p@960fps, gyro-EIS.
The Real Me 3 Pro also comes with 'night-scape mode' that makes pictures captured in night view-able. And I would say the night scape mode on the Real Me 3 Pro is for sure better than the night mode of Redmi Note 7. There's also an Chroma Boost in primary sensor that is used to make your pictures more punchy. You'll see pictures captured on the Real Me 3 Pro are usually over saturated. The sensor on the Real Me 3 Pro is preety average but with loads of software tweaks by Real Me, I would say the camera performance of Real Me 3 pro is preety satisfactory.
Moving to the front side, there's an 25 MP f/2,0 selfie shooter with many filters just like what you will get in typical Oppo devices. There is no complaints in the selfie segment. You will get all the major functions like front portrait, beauty mode and other filters. The selfie recording is also just fine, if you are looking for a v-logging entry level smartphone the phone will perform fine.
Realme 3 Pro Display
There is an 6.3" FHD+ IPS LCD Display on the Real Me 3 Pro and comes with tear drop notch. The display comes with an 19.5:9 aspect ratio display with 409ppi. Thin bezels make this device look premium, the display is sharp and crispy. The display is not AMOLED but I won't complain. There is an Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Protection on the front side of Real Me 3 Pro.
There are multiple display modes like Cooler which makes display little blue-ish, Warmer that makes the display a little warmer, and the default mode.
RealMe3 Pro Performance
The Realme 3 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset, that is a big advancement as we only used to see Snapdragon 600 series chipsets in this price point. More over, Redmi Note 7 is using Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 which is using a weak GPU compared to Adreno 616 used in the Real Me Pro. The chipset is also based on 10 Nm technology compared to 14 Nm technology used in Snapdragon 660 SoC. In a nutshell, Snapdragon 710 SoC is top of the line chipset int his price segment. The variant launched in Pakistan comes with 4 GB Ram and 64 GB internal storage that is further supported by micro SD card.Realme 3 Pro Fortnite Gameplay |
Moreover, talking about gaming, Real Me 3 Pro is using an excellent GPU that is Adreno 616. And the good news is that Fortnite; top battle royale game and one of the most heaviest game ever on mobile is supported by Real Me 3 Pro. In fact, this is the only phone that supports Fortnite in this price segment. You will be able to play PUBG Mobile & other graphic intense games in high settings with good frame rates. In short, this is the best gaming phone you can buy in this price segment.
Realme 3 Pro Battery Life
The battery life on the Real Me 3 Pro is amazing. Real Me 3 Pro come's with an massive 4045 MaH battery. The battery life ensures up-to 15 Hours of video playback and similar 14 hours of web browsing over Wi-Fi. But the best thing about Real Me 3 Pro is the VOOC Charging support, yes you heard it right Real Me 3 Pro supports VOOC Charging that can charge your phone to 100% in just 1 Hour and 15 Minutes and 48% in just 30 Minutes.
Realme 3 Pro Software
Notification Panel On New ColorOS 6 |
The first thing you will notice on Real Me 3 Pro is it's resembling user-interface. Actually, the Real Me 3 Pro is using Color OS, the UI Oppo uses on it's smartphones. So you will get same thing on the Real Me 3 Pro, and if your'e using Oppo devices earlier it will be easier for you to use Real Me 3 Pro. And now if you are like me, who prefers stock Android then good news is that Color OS have gotten better with Color OS 6.
It features an App Drawer, Notification Panel as they used to have iPhone-like notification panel which used to be opened from the bottom but now it is much more better with new implementations, and over-all an better user interface compared to previous versions. The Real Me 3 Pro comes with Color OS 6.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.
Final Verdict on Realme 3 Pro
Real Me 3 Pro is no doubt, the best mid-range smartphone you can buy in Pakistan. The best high-lights of the phone is it's performance and battery life. The only con, I see is the use of old school micro USB port instead of type C but this isn't a a major issue and can be ignored for a few consumers. If you want a phone for entertainment with good lasting battery life and best charging speed, this is an phone for few. And even the cameras of the phone isn't bad, they are pretty much average for the price point. And in the end I would say, no smartphone is perfect. But this one is really near to the perfect mid-ranger. I would have been much happier if Real Me implemented Android One & Stock Android on their devices.
Realme 3 Pro Availability & Price in Pakistan
I would like to give a big, big thumbs up to Real Me for launching this device here in Pakistan and for an aggressive pricing at Rs.33999 for 4GB Ram & 64GB Internal Storage Option. This is the only variant available in 3 colors as of now mentioned before. The only complain is they didn't invited me to the launch event, maybe one day I will be invited hopefully.
